COURSE DESCRIPTION
GRAMMAR:
- All the structures in the previous course.
- Structure of the sentence: order and agreement of the sentence elements.
- Relationship between sentences and link words.
- Relative pronouns and sentences: que, el que, el cual, quien...
- Article: use/omission of "el/un".
- Pronominal "se". Contrast "le/se".
- The most usual regular and irregular verbs.
- Introduction to subjucntive mood.
- The most usual regular and irregular verbs.
- The most usual uses of indicative and subjunctive tenses.
- Different ways to express future actions.
- The most usual verbal periphrasis.
- Imperative: uses and forms.
- "Se" and periphrastic passive sentence.
- Coordinate sentences: copulative, adversative, disjunctive and explicative.
- Indicative, subjunctive, infinitive and verbal periphrasis for expressing orders, desires, future tense, doubt, conditions, hypothesis, restrictions, purpose, cause and consequence.
- Indirect speech.
- Active and passive voice.
LISTENING COMPREHENSION:
- Follow the speech addressed to him/her and the exchanges among speakers in a non-fast pace.
- Understand the main ideas and specific data of messages related to general topics expressed clearly and in a non-fast pace.
- Understand accounts/stories catching the line of the plot and the meaningful episodes.
- Understand the general plan and the main ideas in a speech on general topic expressed clearly and in a standard Spanish.
- Understand simple technical information such as the working of one item.
READING COMPREHENSION:
- Understand usual letters and faxes, recognizing the specific communicative purposes (ask and provide information or explanations, complaint, to acknowledge receipt of something, give thanks…)
- Catch the formality, especially from greetings and farewells.
- Understand the descriptions of events, feelings and desires in order to correspond with friends.
- Read globally and specifically simple real texts, related to his/her experience world.
- Locate specific information in long texts and compile the information from different sources in order to carry a specific task.
- Recognize the meaningful points in news or articles not very complex about general topics.
SPEAKING:
- Tackle –without preparation- a conversation about a known topic, expressing his/her opinions and exchanging information.
- Express likes, preferences and desires, offer and ask for help, invite, accept, refusal, apologize and give thanks.
- Ask for location and provide instructions in order to get this location.
- Ask for and offer items and services of daily life (shops, transportation, post office, addresses…) solving problematic situations.
- Plan an activity, make suggestions, react to proposals, express agreement and disagreement.
- Emit and ask for opinions in a discussion on known topics.
- Express kindly beliefs, opinions, agreements, disagreements.
- Take part in prepared interviews, taking some initiatives although he/she depends on the interviewer.
WRITING:
- Answering questionnaires and filling schemes on known topics.
- Write notes, postcards, personal letters to specific reader in order to establish contact, congratulate, ask for or provide information, ask for a favour, give thanks, ask for apologizes, describe experiences, feelings and events.
- Write formal letters from given patterns.
- Write short accounts and expositions, simple but well-organized.
- Describe and comment some aspects of his/her environment: people, places, studies, likes…
- Prepare short conventional reports.
- Communicate via Internet, fax or mail with Spanish native speakers. |
